Affects Of Baby Boomers In The Future

There are millions of baby boomers all over the world today. After the World War II, there was a significant increase in the population. Because of this, there have been several talks about the effects of baby boomers in the future.

If you belong to the baby boomer generation, you were probably born between 1946 and 1964. This huge increase in population poses different kinds of effects in the future. By now, baby boomers are between the ages of 44 and 63. Some may still be working while others are already planning to retire or they already did. Because of this age ranges and its significant amount of number, one effect that they see about the baby boomer generation is the increase in health care needs. The health government is already having problems providing health care for the millions of people, what more for the boomer generation.

Those who are already planning to retire will mean that companies are going to lose well-established employees and will have to go and search for a new employee that needs training, time, and effort. Companies did not think of giving so much attention to young employees that they just focused on what the baby boomers can already do for their company.

Aside from that, once the baby boomer generation has decided to retire, they will have plenty of time to do everything they want. Most of them will probably be traveling or starting a new business or career path. With old age comes a lot of illnesses and because of the huge amount of population, not all will be well taken care of.

Of course, there were already several positive effects that the baby boomer generation has provided for us. The baby boomers have helped change the economy and transformed different lifestyles, attitudes and so on. Moreover, there have also been several industries that helped provide their needs such as leisure activities, sports, education and so on. Because they were born after the World War II, they were able to live a more relaxed and outgoing life, traveling while they can, and enjoying material things.

However, they weren't financially prepared for the future. And so is the government. The government will not be able to promise that they can help the growing number of baby boomer retirees financially. The good side of all of this is that the baby boomers are helping the stock market reach a higher price. This is beneficial for all of us because the forces of supply and demand could well reach its potential.

These are only some of the effects that a baby boomer generation will have in the future. What we can do now is to prepare for our future and hopefully, everyone will get what they deserve.
